The injured manager was identified as Md Sabuj, 35, from Kushtia Sadar.

He was shot in the foot during the robbery and is currently receiving treatment at Kushtia General Hospital.

Eyewitnesses reported that the gunmen assaulted workers before demanding money from the toll box. When Sabuj tried to stop them, the assailants shot him and stole approximately Tk 1.5 to 2 lakh.

CCTV footage shows the attackers, wearing masks and carrying heavy firearms, approaching the toll box around 10:52pm.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kumarkhali police station, Solaiman Sheikh, confirmed the incident and said no suspects have been arrested so far, and no complaint has been filed by the contracting firm involved in the sand removal project.
