He was serving as the branch manager of Grameen Bank's Kanchannagar branch. He was living alone in a flat on the 2nd floor of the building on rent where the incident took place.

Nur Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Fatikchhari police station, confirmed the incident, saying, "We received the information from the locals around 7am and rushed to the spot at 7:15am. We found the door of his rented house locked from inside. According to locals, Hashem might have fallen from the balcony accidently and died on the spot."

"Our initial investigations also suggest the fall may have been accidental. Our investigation is still on", he added.

"The body has been recovered and brought to the police station. The family members of the deceased have arrived at the station. Further legal actions will be taken after discussion with the family," the OC said.
