The government has released a documentary highlighting the uncompromising leadership of three-time former prime minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
The Chief Adviser's Press Wing released the documentary last night (4 December), noting, "With combination of her etiquette, courtesy, determination, foresight and wisdom, she has become a unique character in Bangladesh's politics."
The Ministry of Cultural Affairs made the 2:40-minute documentary titled 'The Long Walk to Democracy' highlighting Khaleda Zia's role in the country's democratic movement.
It also portrayed her role in the anti-autocratic movement, restoring democracy and returning to parliamentary democracy from the presidential one.
The documentary reflected her uncompromising role during the one-eleven era, even in exchange for safety for herself and her sons. It also highlighted her imprisonment in false cases during fascist Sheikh Hasina regime.
The documentary ended with the comment - "Begum Khaleda Zia, the Nation Prays for You".
