Govt cancels 12 flat allocations to 2 ACC commissioners, EC, secretaries, retired judges

The Ministry of Housing and Public Works has cancelled the allocation of 12 residential flats that were earlier granted to former ACC commissioners, secretaries, judges, and retired senior government officials.
The cancelled flats belong to former ACC commissioners Md Jahurul Haque and Dr Md Mozammel Haque Khan, former senior secretaries Md Yunusur Rahman, Dr M Aslam Alam, and SM Golam Faruk, former secretaries MA Kader Sarkar, Akhtari Momtaz, and Md Sirajul Haque Khan, former judges Md Manjurul Bashid and Syed Aminul Islam, ex-DG of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education Prof Nehal Ahmed, and former election commissioner Md Anisur Rahman.
The flats are being constructed in House No. 711 (New-63) of Road No. 13 (New-6/A) in Dhanmondi R/A under the project titled "Construction of residential flats in various abandoned houses in Dhanmondi and Mohammadpur, Dhaka (Housing Dhanmondi) (Phase 1)".
The project is being implemented by the National Housing Authority.
The allocations of the flats have been cancelled in accordance with the report of the committee formed by the National Housing Authority and the decision of its 274th board meeting.
