General Aziz calls on Nepal Army chief, defence minister  

Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed, who is currently in Nepal on a five-day visit, called on his Nepalese counterpart Major General Purna Chandra Thapa, and the country's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Ishwar Pokhrel on Sunday.   

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate, General Aziz discussed boosting up the existing relationships between the two armies. He also talked about exchanging trainings, increasing goodwill visits and enhancing cooperation between the countries.      

The Bangladesh Army chief arrived in Kathmandu on Friday at the invitation of Nepal Army chief. He received a guard of honour at the Nepal Army headquarters.

General Aziz offered garland to Bir Memorial at Tudikhel in Katmandu. He also visited Nepal Army's Western Regional Office in Pokhara on Saturday. 

The Bangladesh army chief will return home on February 11, adds the ISPR release on Sunday.
