At least four workers of a ready-made garment (RMG) factory in Ashulia were injured in a fire that broke out earlier at the factory today (5 March).

The identities of the injured workers could not be confirmed immediately, Ashulia Fire Service Station's Senior Station Officer Pranab Chowdhury told The Business Standard, confirming the incident.

The fire broke out at the Tanzila Textile Limited at around 10:00am, he said.

Four units of the Fire Service and the Civil Defence brought the fire under control within half an hour.

"The fire was caused by an overheating dyeing machine on the ground floor, injuring four workers," the official added.

The damage caused by the fire could not confirmed immediately.
