Former state minister Shamsul Alam arrested by DB police

Detective Branch (DB) police have arrested former state minister for planning Dr Shamsul Alam.
The arrest was confirmed to The Business Standard by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Joint Commissioner Nasirul Islam.
When asked about the case under which Shamsul Alam was arrested, he said, "He is currently being held at the Detective Branch (DB) office on Minto Road. There is a case filed against him, and he will be produced before the court today."

"Two of our police members were shot last night. We are currently occupied with that matter. Further details will be shared later," he added.
