Firearm, ammunition, and drugs seized in Munshiganj
Members of the joint forces recovered a locally made gun, ammunition, and narcotics during a raid at the house of an alleged listed criminal in Srinagar upazila of Munshiganj early today (27 February).
According to a press release issued by the Bangladesh Army, the operation was carried out around 12:30am in Baghra Union under Srinagar Upazila.
Based on specific intelligence, a special operation led by personnel from the Mawa Army Camp was conducted at the residence of an individual identified as Bikas, described as a key member of the "Bikas Gang," an alleged arms trader and a warrant-listed accused.
During the raid, law enforcers recovered one locally made shooter gun, four rounds of ammunition for the weapon, 22 pieces of yaba tablets, and 500 grams of cannabis.
The press release stated that the accused is known in the area as a listed criminal and arms trader with an outstanding arrest warrant. However, no one was found at the house during the raid.
The seized items were later handed over to the Srinagar Police Station for further legal action.
