Fire at Malibagh’s Hosaf Tower brought under control
No casualties were reported in the incident

A fire broke out in the air conditioning unit on the fourth floor of a six-storey building named Hosaf Tower at Malibagh intersection in the capital today (17 August) afternoon.
According to the Fire Service, the incident was reported at 1:45pm, and two units from the Khilgaon Fire Station rushed to the scene, located about two kilometers away. The units arrived at 2:05pm.
By the time firefighters reached the site, the flames had already been extinguished. However, heavy smoke had spread through the stairwell, which was cleared using a smoke ejector to ensure safety.
No casualties were reported in the incident.
