The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained
A fire broke up at a blanket warehouse in a multi-storey building in Chattogram's Kadamtali area this afternoon (24 November), with seven units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence battling to control the flames.
The fire started at around 1:35pm on the fourth floor of a five-storey building adjacent to the Kadamtali Burnt Mosque. As of 3pm, the blaze had not yet been brought under control.
Md Anwar Hossain, assistant director of the Fire Service and Civil Defence in Chattogram, told The Business Standard that the fire spread rapidly because the warehouse was stocked with blankets. The exact cause of the fire is still unknown, he added.
