Expatriate dies at Chattogram Airport on way back to Abu Dhabi

A 55-year-old expatriate died after falling ill at Chattogram's Shah Amanat International Airport last evening (22 July) while preparing to return to Abu Dhabi.
Md Liakat, a long-time resident of the United Arab Emirates, collapsed after entering the immigration area around 6pm.
Despite being given immediate medical attention, he was declared dead shortly after.
He was the son of the late Ahmed Hossain of Purba Gomdandi Fateh Ali Munshi Bari under Boalkhali Municipality in Chattogram.
Liakat is survived by his wife, two sons, and two daughters.
Chattogram Airport Public Relations Officer Ibrahim Khalil told TBS that Md Liakat was scheduled to fly to Abu Dhabi on Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight BG 147, which was set to depart at 7:10pm yesterday.
He suddenly fell ill while going through immigration and was immediately taken to the ground floor.
His relatives, who had come to see him off, took him to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Liakat's cousin Golam Mustafa said Liakat had been engaged in business in Abu Dhabi for over three decades.
After spending six months in Bangladesh with family, he was on his way back when he suffered sudden chest pain and collapsed at the airport.
His funeral prayer was held at 11am today (23 July) at the Gomdandi Islamia Senior Madrasa ground, followed by burial at the family graveyard.
