EU plans to deploy 150 observers for Bangladesh’s national election

The European Union (EU) intends to send 150 election observers to monitor Bangladesh's upcoming national election.
For this purpose, a tripartite agreement will be signed between the EU, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Election Commission (EC).
EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed disclosed the plan today (29 September) after a meeting at the EC headquarters in Agargaon with members of the EU's pre-election assessment mission.
He explained that all observers will not arrive at once. Instead, they will come in groups at different stages after the election schedule is announced.
