Rain likely in parts of country
The highest temperature yesterday was recorded at 35.5 degrees Celsius in Srimangal and Feni, while today's minimum temperature is 24 degrees Celsius in Narayanganj.
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today (27 September) forecasted rain in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours, commencing 9am.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions," said a Met Office bulletin issued this morning.
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly across the country.
