Mild heat wave is sweeping over Sylhet division and the districts of Rangamati, Feni, Noakhali, Chandpur, Rangpur, Khulna and Jashore and it may continue, said a met office release here today.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is also likely to occur at many places over Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions, at a few places over Mymensingh, Sylhet and Khulna divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka, Barishal and Chattogram divisions.

Moderately heavy falls may occur at isolated places over northern part of the country, the release said.

Day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country and night temperature may fall slightly over north-western part of the country and it may rise slightly elsewhere over the country.

Country's maximum temperature was recorded on Saturday 37.2 degrees Celsius at Rangamati and minimum temperature today 24.2 degrees Celsius at Sylhet.

Maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6:00am today was recorded 23 millimetres (mm) at Netrokona.

Today's sunset at 6.41 PM and tomorrow's sunrise at 5.11 AM at Dhaka.
