Heavy rains likely in Dhaka, 3 other divisions

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in the Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions over the next 48 hours, commencing at 2pm on Wednesday (6 August).
BMD Meteorologist Kh Hafizur Rahman signed a warning notice which said due to active Southwest Monsoon, heavy (44-88mm/24hrs) to very heavy (> 88mm/24hrs) rainfall is likely to occur at places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions.
It also said due to very heavy rainfall, landslides may occur at places over the hilly regions of Chattogram division.
