26,000 tonne octane-laden ship arrives at Chattogram Port

A Malaysian ship carrying 26,000 tonnes of refined octane reached Chattogram port's outer anchorage late Wednesday night (April 8) for unloading.

Farzin Hassan Moumita, assistant manager (public relations) of BPC, said the ship will be brought to the port's Dolphin Jetty No 5 this afternoon (9 April). A port pilot and strong tug boats will assist the process.
Syed Refayet Hamim, secretary of Chattogram Port Authority, said berthing of fuel-carrying vessels is being prioritised to keep the country's fuel supply normal. Several ships have already unloaded oil and gas, with more waiting in the pipeline.
Unloading of refined octane from MT Central Star began yesterday at Dolphin Jetty No 5.
