The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has increased the retail price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for January, raising the cost of a 12kg cylinder by Tk53 to Tk1,306.
The regulatory body announced the revised price today (4 January), which will come into effect from 6pm.
Alongside LPG, the price of autogas, used in motor vehicles, has also been increased to Tk59.80 per litre, up from Tk57.32, reflecting an increase of Tk2.48.

In December, BERC raised the price of a 12kg LPG cylinder by Tk38 to Tk1,253, while autogas prices were increased by Tk1.74 per litre to Tk57.32.
