JU first-year classes to begin 21 September

Classes of the first-year students of Jahangirnagar University (JU) under the 2024-25 academic session will begin on 21 September.
Deputy Registrar (Academic) Syed Mohammad Ali Reza confirmed the matter this afternoon.
"We are optimistic that a notice with class roll, registration number and allotted hall name will be issued on Friday (19 September)," said Ali Reza.

A total of 1,889 freshers have been admitted under the 2024-25 academic session, he added.
Earlier, on 13 August, the decision to begin classes from 21 September was taken at a meeting of the central admission management committee for the 2024-25 academic session, held with Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan in the chair.
