The ongoing Higher Secondary Examinations (HSC) and equivalent exams have been postponed again till 11 August.

"Due to unavoidable circumstances, HSC exams of all the education boards which were scheduled for 4 August are being postponed. The exams will begin under a new routine from 11 August," reads a notice issued by Chairman of the Committee Tapan Kumar Sarkar today (1 August).

A new schedule will be announced soon, added the notice.

The HSC exams, which began on 30 June, have been postponed at least three times till now. Amid ongoing quota reform protests the exams scheduled for 18 July were rescheduled, then the exams which were to be held from 21 July to 25 July were deferred.

Finally, the date for the exams which were scheduled to start from 28 July was changed to 4 August due to violence centring the quota reform protests.

The theoretical part of the HSC exams were scheduled to end on 11 August. And the practical examination was scheduled for 12 to 21 August.
