Government launches automated transfer system for MPO teachers
The entire transfer procedure will be completed through the designated automated software
The Monthly Payment Order (MPO)-listed teachers in private educational institutions will be transferred through automated software as per the new policy announced by the government.
The Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education yesterday issued the "Transfer Policy–2026 for MPO-listed Teachers in Private Educational Institutions (Schools and Colleges) through Automated Software" today (27 January).
The responsibility for processing transfer applications rests with the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), while the Secondary and Higher Education Division will oversee the overall transfer process.
The entire transfer procedure will be completed through the designated automated software, ensuring continuity of the teacher's MPO listing, financial benefits, and seniority, read the policy.
Signed by Education Secretary Rehena Parveen, the policy states that the DSHE will publish a list of vacant posts in institutions online within a stipulated time. Applications for transfers will then be invited online against these vacant positions.
