Islami Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, has announced a 23-member panel, named Sammilita Chhatra Jote, for the Rajshahi University Central Students' Union (Rucsu) elections.
Mostakur Rahman Zahid, president of the Rajshahi University Shibir unit and a student of the Agronomy department (2016-17), has been nominated for vice president (VP) post, while Fahim Reza, former coordinator of the Students Against Discrimination and ex-general secretary of the Students' Rights Association from the Biochemistry Department (2020-21), has been nominated for general secretary (GS).

SM Salman Sabbir, president of the Socchar Student Network and a student of the Statistics department (2019-20), will contest for the assistant general secretary (AGS) post.
Abdul Mohaimin, social service secretary of central Shibir, submitted the nomination form to the Rucsu treasurer and presented the panel at a press conference.
"We have formed an inclusive panel with all stakeholders, which we have named Sammilita Chhatra Jote," said Mohaimin.
He went on to say, "This is a truly democratic and representative panel where we have brought together different opinions, beliefs, and unity. Our goal is to build a free, democratic, and accountable democratic institution."
VP candidate Mostaqur Rahman Zahid said, "After a long movement and struggle, the Rucsu elections are finally going to be held. This is a matter of honour for everyone, not just Chhatra Shibir."
We will all cooperate with everyone and remain on this campus, he added.
