The agitated students of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) have been continuing their protest for the 6th consecutive day at Shaheed Minar premises of the campus.
The protesting students said they would continue their movement until their demands are met.
The students gathered at the Shaheed Minar around 11 am today.
They brought out a procession in the campus and paraded different roads.
Their demands included issuing written order to expel Abrar's killers, ensuring capital punishment to the killers, compensating Abrar's family, bringing the whole campus under CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) camera surveillance, ousting the political students from halls and locking their rooms, punishing the organisation if they continue politics, and forming probe committee to investigate into the previous torture on students.
Abrar, 22, a second-year student of Buet's electrical and electronics engineering department, was beaten to death allegedly by a group of Chhatra League men in Sher-E-Bangla Hall on Monday over his alleged affiliation with Chhatra Shibir.
