Bangladeshi initiative aims for a Guinness World Record in educational material distribution
Previously, in 2022, a Guinness World Record was set in Gujarat, India, by distributing over 400,000 notebooks. Kagojbari now seeks to surpass that feat by distributing educational materials weighing nearly 60,000 kilograms.

Under the theme "Writing the Right to Education in the Blood of July", a Bangladesh-based initiative called Kagojbari is aiming to set a new Guinness World Record by distributing educational materials to 450,000 students across 1,500 schools within 12 hours in 2025.
The announcement was made today (6 August) at a press conference held at the Dhaka Reporters Unity. Zahid Anwar, the campaign convener and director of Kagojbari, said that the Quota Reform Movement and the July uprising have become symbols of unity, protest, and sacrifice for Bangladesh's youth. This record attempt is meant to commemorate that spirit.

Speakers at the press conference emphasised that achieving a Guinness World Record is not only a personal or organisational achievement, but it also brings honor to the entire nation. They noted that this initiative would serve as an inspiring example for future generations.
In his speech, Zahid Anwar urged support from all sectors of society, including corporate houses, NGOs, institutions, and philanthropists, to come forward as sponsors and collaborators in making this record a reality.
Attendees described the initiative as more than just a distribution drive; they called it a "movement for education" and pledged full support for its success.
