Another member steps down from Jucsu election commission
According to a media report, Snigdha submitted her resignation letter directly to the vice chancellor

Another member of the Jahangirnagar University Central Students' Union (Jucsu) Election Commission, Dr Rezwana Karim Snigdha, resigned this afternoon (13 September).
According to media reports, Snigdha announced her resignation around 2pm, in protest against the commission's decision to continue counting ballots without addressing complaints raised during the election.
However, Chief Election Commissioner Dr Moniruzzaman said he was not aware of the matter.
Rizwana Karim Snigdha could not be reached over phone for comment.
According to a media report, Snigdha submitted her resignation letter directly to the vice chancellor.
Another media report quoted Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Md Mahfuzur Rahman as saying that on Saturday, while vote counting was still ongoing, Rezwana Karim Snigdha, an associate professor of anthropology, resigned from her post as a commission member.
Yesterday, another member of the Jucsu Election Commission, Professor Mohammad Mafruhi Sattar, stepped down, citing irregularities and the commission's failure to act on complaints during the polls.

Voting took place across 21 halls of Jahangirnagar University from 9am to 5pm on Thursday.
Candidates from the Chhatra Dal and left-leaning panels alleged that the owner of the company supplying vote-counting machines was linked to Jamaat-e-Islami. In response, the Election Commission and university administration decided to switch to manual counting.
On election day, the Chhatra Dal panel withdrew from the race at 3:30pm. By 7pm, four leftist panels also announced their boycott.
That evening, ballot boxes were moved to the Senate Building, and counting began around 10pm.
Meanwhile, half an hour before polls closed, Jatiyatabadi Teachers Forum Organising Secretary Professor Nazrul Islam and two colleagues — Professor Shamima Sultana and Professor Nahrin Islam Khan — also boycotted the election, citing irregularities.
