Another 11.40 acres of land in Keraniganj handed over to JnU authorities for new campus

The Dhaka district administration has acquired and handed over another 11.40 acres of land in Paschimdi Mouza in Keraniganj to the Jagannath University (JnU) authorities today (3 June) for the establishment of a new campus.
On the instructions of the Dhaka deputy commissioner, the land acquisition officer, kanungo and surveyor were present on the spot and completed the acquisition work by handing over the possession of the acquired land to the Jagannath University authorities, reads a press statement issued by the Chief Adviser's Press Wing.
JnU vice chancellor, registrar, teachers and students were present on the occasion.
Earlier, the government also acquired 188.60 acres of land in the Paschimdi Mouza of Keraniganj and handed it over to JnU authorities in January 2020 for a new campus.
With the latest addition, the Dhaka district administration has acquired and handed over a total of 200 acres of land for the establishment of a new campus of JnU.
