DMP imposes ban on flying lanterns for 13hrs starting 11pm today

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today (14 August) imposed a ban on flying of any kind of lanterns in the Dhaka Metropolitan areas for thirteen hours, effective from 11pm today to 12am tomorrow.
DMP Commissioner SM Sazzat Ali passed the order in exercise of powers conferred under Section 28 of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ordinance (Ordinance No. III/76).
The DMP has requested the city residents to comply with the instructions.
