Fuel at Satkhira filling stations to be sold at old prices until new supply arrives
Under the new pricing, diesel has been increased from Tk100 to Tk115 per litre, petrol from Tk116 to Tk135, and octane from Tk120 to Tk140.
Fuel currently stored at filling stations in Satkhira will be sold at previous prices, according to a directive issued by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Afroza Akter.
She said the newly increased government rates will apply only to fuel supplied from depots starting today (19 April). "Any fuel that has already been delivered to filling stations before the price hike will continue to be sold at the earlier rates,' she added.
According to data from the daily fuel report of the DC office, Satkhira's 29 filling stations currently have 101,432 litres of diesel, 54,485 litres of petrol, and 22,683 litres of octane in stock.
Filling stations have been instructed to sell existing stock at the previous government-fixed prices, while newly received fuel must be sold at the revised rates.
