The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) yesterday (11 July) arrested the prime accused in a case filed over dismembering the body of a woman from Roufabad in Chattogram city.

The arrestee was the deceased Fatema Akther's husband, Md Sumon.

Tipped off, a team of RAB-7 conducted a drive in Chattogram and arrested Sumon, said MRM Mozaffar Hossain, assistant director (public relations) of RAB-7, last night.

Housewife's body found in 11 pieces in Chattogram's Bayezid; husband on the run

Earlier on Thursday (10 July), police recovered the body of 20-year-old Fatema, severed into eleven pieces, from a flat in Roufabad in Chattogram city.

Getting a bad odour from the 9th floor flat of Paharika Housing, local people informed the police, who recovered the body pieces from the house.
