CU students demand Teesta master plan implementation
Organised by students from Rangpur division, the protest featured placards condemning water injustice and India's alleged influence over Bangladesh's water policies.

Students from Chittagong University (CU) formed a human chain at the university's Shaheed Minar yesterday evening (19 October), demanding the immediate implementation of the Teesta Master Plan and Bangladesh's fair share of Teesta River water.
Organised by students from Rangpur division, the protest featured placards condemning water injustice and India's alleged influence over Bangladesh's water policies.
Speakers, including student leaders and activists, stressed that the plan could transform northern Bangladesh through agricultural development and national economic growth.
The rally concluded with a unified call to protect national interests and ensure water justice for the Teesta-dependent regions.
