As the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr approaches, all entertainment centres in Chattogram have been adorned in festive colours to welcome visitors.
With the long Eid holidays ahead, families and tourists are expected to flock to popular destinations such as Foy's Lake, Chattogram Zoo, and other recreational centres.
According to tourism officials, this year's extended holidays will lead to a significant influx of visitors. Popular attractions include Patenga Sea Beach, Naval Beach, Halishahar and Sagorika Sea Beach, Agrabad Children's Park, the Maritime Museum, and Concord Foy's Lake Amusement Park.

Among them, the Patenga Sea Beach has recently been renovated by the Chattogram City Corporation and district administration while Foy's Lake Amusement Park is making special preparations to host guests.
Foy's Lake authorities have prepared three different types of entertainment for visitors: the Amusement Park, Sea World Water Park, and Basecamp Adventure Zone.
The amusement park has introduced several new rides for Eid, including bumper cars, a family roller coaster, a pirate ship, a Ferris wheel, and children's attractions such as Happy Jump, Pony Adventure, Baby Dragon, and Circus Train.
Additionally, there are rides like Sky Hooper, Midi Dance, Kiddie Wheels, Kiddie Tower, Airborne Shot, and Flying Bus, ensuring enjoyment for visitors of all ages.
One of the biggest summer attractions at Foy's Lake is the Sea World Water Park. Featuring artificial waves, wave pools, multi-slides, and a dance zone, it offers a refreshing escape for visitors. Special arrangements have been made to renovate changing rooms for men and women, ensuring a comfortable experience for Eid tourists.
Foy's Lake Basecamp is another exciting addition, offering visitors an adventurous experience under the open sky. Activities such as archery, climbing walls, tree-top adventures, kayaking, and boat rides on the vast Foy's Lake provide thrilling options for adventure enthusiasts.
"We are ready to meet the entertainment demands of the city dwellers. New rides have been installed to provide a fresh experience, even for those who have visited before," Biswajit Ghosh, deputy general manager of Concord Foy's Lake, told The Business Standard,
"Additionally, gift shops and food courts catering to all age groups are available inside the park," he added.
Ghosh also highlighted the resort facilities within Foy's Lake, which offer comfortable accommodations with modern amenities. Guests can enjoy a variety of local and international cuisines at the Lake View Restaurant, making Foy's Lake a top destination for Eid celebrations filled with joy and excitement.
The Chattogram Zoo authority has also undertaken renovation and cleaning work to host the visitors.
Deputy Curator of the zoo, Shahadat Hossain Shuvo, said during the Eid vacation, a huge number of visitors pour in the zoo. "We have undertaken some renovation and painting work to make the zoo more attractive to the visitors. The renovation has already been finished and we are fully ready to entertain the visitors during Eid festivities."
