The arrested individuals have been identified as Mir Md Hasan (23), Nur Mohammad Kalu alias Abdul Kalu (31), Md Sohel (26), Md Rajib Hossain Raju (30), Mohammad Ali (32), and Md Rubel Hossain alias Samad alias Sama (20).

However, officers were able to apprehend six of them on the spot, according to a press release from the Chattogram Metropolitan Police.
Police seized several locally made weapons and tools from the suspects' possession, including knives with wooden handles, an iron cutter, a bicycle chain, a steel cutting plier, a hammer, and a small steel paper cutter. These items were believed to be intended for use in upcoming criminal activity.
During initial questioning, the detainees confessed that they operated across different parts of Chattogram city. They typically targeted pedestrians, and rickshaw and CNG passengers during the early hours of the morning. Further investigation revealed that most of the suspects are repeat offenders.
