Rohingya man held with 1.3 lakh yaba pills in Cox’s Bazar
Md Abdullah from Kutupalong Rohingya camp in Ukhiya, who was posing as the auto-rickshaw driver, was held.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) held a Rohingya man last night (25 November) with 1.3 lakh yaba pills after chasing a passenger auto-rickshaw near the Ukhiya border in Cox's Bazar.
The operation took place in the Hijlia area of Rajapalong Union following a tip-off, said Lieutenant Colonel SM Khairul Alam, commanding officer of BGB Cox's Bazar Battalion (34 BGB).
Lt Col Khairul said they received information that several individuals had left the Kutupalong area with a large consignment of yaba pills, heading toward Cox's Bazar in an auto-rickshaw.
A BGB team chased the vehicle and stopped it in the Hijlia area of Rajapalong Union, he added.
During the search, 1.3 lakh yaba pills were recovered from the front box and under the seat.

A case has been filed against him at Ukhiya Police Station under the relevant law, Lt Col Khairul further added.
