RAB seizes 40,000 cubic feet of Sada Pathor’s looted stones from Demra
A list of the owners has been compiled, and further details of the operation will be disclosed soon, says RAB

Members of RAB-11 have recovered around 40,000 cubic feet of stones looted from Bholaganj's Sada Pathor, a popular tourist spot in Sylhet's Companiganj upazila.
The operation was carried out in Shukursi Ghat area of Sarulia, Demra and Narayanganj's Kachpur last night (14 August).
RAB-11 Commander Lt Col HM Sajjad Hossain said, "As part of the ongoing crackdown, stones - both whole and crushed - were seized from seven establishments in Demra's Sarulia area."

A list of the owners has been compiled, and further details of the operation will be disclosed soon, he added.
It was a joint drive conducted by RAB-11, the District administration, and the Department of Environment.
The RAB official stated that about 200,000 cubic feet of white stones worth an estimated Tk200–250 crore and 600,000 cubic feet of sand worth around Tk240 crore have recently been stolen from Sada Pathor area.
The looted stones were stockpiled locally before being sent to crushers, he said.
