Police recover four bodies across Dhaka in 24 hours

Police recovered four bodies from different parts of the capital today (9 April), including one found hanging, one beside a railway track, one in front of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, and another at Ramna Kali Mandir.
Body found near airport rail crossing
A man died after being hit by the Kishoreganj Express while crossing a rail line in the Airport area around 4 in the afternoon. His identity could not be confirmed immediately.
Dhaka Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Zainal Abedin told TBS the body was sent to a morgue for autopsy.
Youth found dead at Ramna Kali Mandir
Earlier, police recovered the body of Md Habib, 30, a day labourer, from a footpath on the southern bank of a pond at Ramna Kali Mandir in Shahbagh around 10:30 in the morning.
Shahbagh Police Station OC Md Moniruzzaman said the cause of death would be known after autopsy. The body is at Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue.
Unidentified body at DMCH
Police also recovered the body of an unidentified man, aged around 50, from in front of the X-ray room of the hospital's outpatient department. CID and PBI collected fingerprints to identify him.
Woman hangs herself in Hazaribagh
In another incident, 19 year old Lamia Akhtar died by suicide at her home in Hazaribagh following a family dispute over treatment costs.
Hazaribagh Police Station OC Md Hafizur Rahman said Lamia was a cancer patient and needed a large sum for treatment. "This led to disputes within the family. She took her own life by hanging herself around 3:00am," he said.
Her uncle, Rafiqul Islam, filed a case accusing her husband, mother-in-law and sister-in-law of abetting the suicide. Police have arrested her husband, Arman, in the case.
