Police recover 7 motorcycles while searching for one stolen bike; 4 arrested

Police have recovered seven stolen motorcycles while searching for a single bike stolen from the capital's Banasree area, and arrested four members of a gang involved in the incidents.

The arrestees are Md Zahirul Islam, 34, Oli Ullah, 28, Shafiullah Khan, 29, and Gazi Sagar, 27.
According to police, a Suzuki Gixxer SF-150 motorcycle belonging to Md Sahal Bin Rafiq, was stolen on 10 April from Block C of Banasree. A case was later filed with Rampura Police Station.
During the investigation, police arrested Zahirul on Friday (17 April) from the Danga Bazar area under Palash Police Station in Narsingdi and recovered the stolen motorcycle.
Based on information obtained during his interrogation, Oli Ullah was arrested on Sunday (19 April) from Bishnandi Ferry Ghat in Araihazar, Narayanganj, along with a stolen Apache RTR motorcycle.
Following further leads, police conducted a raid at a shop named Khan Motors in Danga Bazar, where four more stolen motorcycles – MT 15, XBLADE, Suzuki Gixxer and Fazer models – were recovered.
The shop owner, Shafiullah, was arrested yesterday (20 April) for his involvement in buying and selling stolen motorcycles.
Later, another member of the gang, Sagar, was arrested from Bishnandi Ferry Ghat, and an additional MT 15 motorcycle was recovered from his possession.
Police said the arrestees have been sent to court, and efforts are underway to arrest other members of the gang.
