Jubo Dal activist stabbed to death in Sylhet
Local sources claimed Sheikh Raju, former organising secretary of Golapganj Upazila Chhatra Dal and a friend of Rony, was involved in the killing.

A Jubo Dal activist was stabbed to death in Golapganj upazila of Sylhet early today (10 August), reportedly hours after posting allegations on Facebook against a local Chhatra Dal leader.
The victim, Rony Hossain, was attacked with sharp weapons in the Kadamtola area of Golapganj town shortly after midnight. He was a known active member of the local unit of the BNP youth wing.
Md Moniruzzaman Molla, officer-in-charge of Golapganj Model Police Station, confirmed the incident and said, "Operations are underway to arrest those involved, but no one has been detained yet, and no case has been filed."
Rony's body was sent to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital's morgue for a post-mortem.
Local sources claimed that Sheikh Raju, former organising secretary of Golapganj Upazila Chhatra Dal and a friend of Rony, was involved in the killing.
Since the incident, Raju has reportedly gone into hiding. Attempts to contact him have been unsuccessful, as his mobile phone remains switched off.
Around 11pm last night (9 August), Rony shared a post on Facebook, accusing Raju of having an extramarital affair, attaching photographs of him with a woman.
In the post, Rony wrote, "This scoundrel, leaving behind his two children, is now running around from hotel to hotel with another person's wife, having an affair. I protested against this, and for this reason, he is now using a fake ID to spread false and fabricated stories about me."
Police suspect the murder may be linked to this post. Rony had made similar allegations against Raju in previous social media posts.
