Gang rape fugitive accused from Panchagarh nabbed after 3 years in Dhaka
The accused fled from Panchagarh immediately after the incident back in 2022 and came to Dhaka. Since then, he has been hiding for three years

Police last night (20 March) arrested a fugitive accused in a gang rape case in Panchagarh district from the capital's Kamlapur Railway Station.
The arrestee has been identified as Md Saddam, 32, one of the fugitives accused in the case filed at Panchagarh Sadar Police Station in 2022.
Acting on a tip-off, a Detective Branch (DB) team of Dhaka Railway Police arrested him from Kamlapur Railway Station at around 10:30pm Thursday, according to a police press release.

Saddam fled from Panchagarh immediately after the incident back in 2022 and came to Dhaka. Since then, he has been hiding for three years, read the release.
The release added that the trial against him and the other accused is ongoing in the Panchagarh court.
