Child's body recovered 6 days after going missing in Faridpur
Police have recovered the body of a child six days after she went missing from the Kotwali Police Station area of Faridpur.
The body has been sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital for an autopsy, Faridpur Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shahidul Islam said.
He added that further legal actions are currently underway.
According to police and local sources, the child went missing on 24 April from the Purbo Bakhunda Adarsha Gram area under Faridpur Kotwali Police Station.
The next day, her father, Baka Mia Biswas, filed a general diary at the Kotwali Police Station.
This morning, around 8am, while working in a banana orchard in the Bakhunda Paschim Para area, locals discovered the body. The family was called to the scene to identify her.
Upon receiving the news, Kotwali Police reached the spot and prepared the inquest report.
Later, the CID Crime Scene Unit inspected the site and collected evidence.
