Pure Food Inspector Md Kamrul Hasan filed cases against two companies in the capital over selling expired and substandard products on Tuesday.

The two companies are Tuhin Store that sold expired ACI Nutrilite Fortified Rice Bran Oil and Ha Meem Foods that sold substandard sandesh.

Ha Meem Food owner Md Faruk Hossain and Tuhin Store proprietor Md Hanif were accused in the case filed in the Pure Food Court of the Special Metropolitan Magistrate at Nagar Bhaban on Tuesday.

The Pure Food Court has set 25 February as the hearing date for expired rice bran oil case and 4 March for substandard sandesh case.
