The case names 234 individuals as accused, alongside 400 to 500 unnamed persons.
The case was filed around midnight yesterday (30 January), two days after the incident, by the victim's wife, Marzia Begum, at Jhenaigati Police Station, according to police and local sources.
The deceased, Rezaul Karim, was the secretary of Jamaat's Sreebordi upazila unit.
The incident took place on Wednesday (28 January) afternoon during a programme organised by the upazila administration to read out the election manifesto for the Sherpur-3 (Sreebordi–Jhenaigati) constituency.

Rezaul was among those injured and died while being taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for treatment.
District Jamaat Ameer Hafizur Rahman alleged that Rezaul was brutally killed after being crushed with bricks during the clash.
