Car stolen in Baridhara DOHS
Police say they’re working to nab the thieves

A car was reported stolen from the Baridhara DOHS area on 12 March.
Atiqul Salam Shimanto, owner of the car, lodged a complaint with the police the next day.
Contacted, he told The Business Standard yesterday that his Toyota X Corolla was stolen from his Baridhara residence. "We lodged a complaint [with the police] the next day."
Confirming the matter, Kazi Tanbirul Azam, a sub-inspector of Cantonment Police Station and investigating officer of the case told TBS, "We're still trying to nab the thieves."
According to the plaintiff and the case statement, the car theft took place inside the Baridhara DOHS area, which is also within a one-kilometer periphery of the home adviser's residence.
Plaintiff Atiqul further said the police came to the scene and investigated the case for around three hours. "But after that, we haven't received any update yet."
In this regard, Sub-Inspector Kazi said, "We analysed nearby CCTV footage but I was later busy with my departmental exam."
According to the case statement, Atiqul last saw his car after parking it outside his house at around 11:30pm on 12 March. The next morning at 10am, he noticed his car went missing.
Referring to the CCTV footage obtained, he said the thieves might have stolen his car at around midnight.
