In total, 6 people have been arrested in connection with the murder

A Dhaka court has ordered three days' remand for four more accused in the stabbing murder of Rahat Hossain Rabbi at a Shisha bar in the Banani area.
The decision was delivered today (19 August) afternoon by Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Ziadur Rahman.
The accused sent on remand are Md Mir Hossain (22), Md Fazle Rabbi (24), Sabbir Ahmed Sumon (30), and Arafat Islam Fahim (27). In total, 6 people have been arrested in connection with the murder.
Earlier, Sub-Inspector Md Amzad Sheikh of Banani Police Station, the investigating officer, produced the accused before the court and sought seven days' remand for each. The defence lawyers, Mohsin Mia, Azad Hossain, and Golam Moinuddin Chishti, applied for bail and requested the cancellation of the remand.
The prosecution, represented by Shamsuddoha Sumon, opposed the application. After hearing both sides, the court granted three days' remand for each accused.
Shamsuddoha Sumon confirmed the information.
The four accused were arrested by police on 15 August. On the same day, the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Israt Jennifer Zerin ordered that they be remanded in custody along with the two main accused, Maksudur Rahman Hamza (22) and Abdul Malek Munna (22).
Magistrate Zerin granted a one-day remand for Hamza and a three-day remand for Munna on 16 August, after police produced them in court with a 10-day remand plea for each.
It is reported that in the early hours of 14 August, at around 4:30 am, Rabbi was stabbed on the stairs while leaving the Shisha bar '360 Degree'. He was taken to hospital in critical condition, where doctors declared him dead. Rabbi's father, Robiul Awal, subsequently filed a case at Banani Police Station.
CCTV footage from the scene reportedly shows Rabbi being surrounded by three assailants as he descended the stairs. During this time, he was stabbed, and one of the attackers struck him with an object. Later, as Rabbi moved backwards near the lift, one assailant was seen throwing an object at him twice. Finally, another attacker stabbed Rabbi in the right elbow before descending the stairs.
