Attack on DMCH doctors: One arrested from Gaibandha
Three neurosurgery doctors of DMCH were assaulted on Saturday, and the emergency department was vandalised
Police have arrested one in connection with the assault on Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) doctors and vandalising the hospital on Saturday (31 August).
Sanjay Pal Joy was arrested from Gaibandha today (2 September), Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said in a post published on its verified Facebook page.
On Saturday, three neurosurgery doctors were assaulted, and the emergency department was vandalised.

The doctors reviewed CCTV footage, identified the culprits, and demanded their arrest within 24 hours.
When the culprits were not arrested, they went on strike, halting emergency services from Sunday morning.
Later in the day, doctors agreed to suspend their nationwide strike until 8pm tonight after Health and Family Welfare Adviser Nurjahan Begum promised to arrest those responsible for the attack within 24 hours.
