Army nabs notorious border criminal 'Shaheen Dakat' in Cox’s Bazar
Shaheen is accused in at least 20 cases including murder, robbery, arms possession, and drug trafficking

The army in a joint drive arrested suspected ringleader of a notorious syndicate allegedly involved in drug trafficking and cattle smuggling along the Myanmar border.
Shahinur Rahman alias Shaheen Dakat, 32, was detained early today (5 June) from his in-laws' house in Majherghat village, Ramu upazila, Cox's Bazar.
According to a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Shaheen and two of his accomplices were arrested during an overnight operation in Cox's Bazar.
Shaheen is accused in at least 20 cases including murder, robbery, arms possession, and drug trafficking.
During the raid, authorities recovered an AK-22 rifle, three single-barrel guns, 20,000 yaba pills, 10 sharp weapons, and a cache of ammunition.
