7-year-old girl raped, throat slit in Chattogram murder attempt

A seven-year-old girl was raped and later attacked in an attempt to kill her in Sitakunda, Chattogram, police said. According to police, the girl's throat was slit after rape.
The incident took place at around 2pm yesterday (1 March) at Sitakunda Botanical Garden and Eco Park.
She was rescued and taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital, where she is receiving treatment.

Officer-in-Charge of Sitakunda Police Station Mominul Islam confirmed the matter, saying the victim is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Police have launched an investigation. Further details will be provided later, he said.
