He said police have arrested 29 persons from Paltan, Motijheel, Shahbagh, Bhatara, Kalabagan and Bangshal areas in connection with the arson attack on the vehicles at different places in the capital on Thursday.

Among the arrestees, 26 have been put on remand.

Meanwhile, several teams of police are continuing drives to arrest the other fugitive accused, said Walid Hossain.

DMP Additional Commissioner and Chief of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Unit Monirul Islam said, "We have got the recording of a phone call between two persons who were talking over the arson attacks. We are trying to find out the identities of the callers."
