State to file formal charges at ICT on Sunday in Abu Sayed murder case

The Office of the Chief Prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) has announced that they will submit formal charges on Sunday (29 June) in the case of Abu Sayeed, a student of Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur, who was killed during the 2024 July uprising.
The formal submission will be made before the ICT led by Justice Md Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, according to Senior Prosecutor Mizanul Islam, who briefed reporters today (26 June).
"We have received the investigation report regarding the murder of Abu Sayed. After reviewing the findings, we will file formal charges before the tribunal this Sunday," Mizanul said.
Earlier, the investigation agency of the ICT submitted its report on the case, linking 30 individuals to the murder of Abu Sayed during the July uprising in Rangpur on 16 July.
