Ducsu polls: Chamber court's stay on HC order continues, Appellate Division hearing tomorrow
Chamber Judge Justice Farah Mahbub issued the order today (2 September) referring the matter to the full appellate bench.

The Appellate Division of Supreme Court is set to hear the appeal against the High Court order tomorrow (3 September) that postponed the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) election till 30 October, after the chamber court extended its stay on the HC directive.
Chamber Judge Justice Farah Mahbub issued the order today (2 September) referring the matter to the full appellate bench, according to court sources.
Dhaka University lawyer Shishir Manir told journalists that the university had filed a petition before the chamber court yesterday, seeking an immediate suspension of the HC's order.
"Acting on the plea, the chamber judge stayed the order and instructed the university to file a complete appeal."
"Accordingly, the appeal was formally submitted today, and the case has now been scheduled for hearing before the Appellate Division led by the chief justice," he added.
Earlier on 31 August, the HC postponed the election until 30 October.
According to the announced schedule, the election of the central committee of Ducsu and the hall unions was scheduled to be held on 9 September.
