The Judicial Service Reform Commission has proposed setting up judicial magistrate courts at different upazilas across the country.
The information was made public after Chief of the Commission Justice Shah Abu Naeem Mominur Rahman presented their report with the recommendations to Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus at state guest house Jamuna in the capital today (5 February).
The report recommends establishing magistrate courts based on factors such as geographical location, specialties, distance from the district center, communication conditions, population density, and caseload pressure in each upazila.
