Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury on Wednesday dismissed the no confidence petition filed by Mosarat's family against the police report, said victim family's lawyer Masud Salauddin.

He said they were yet to receive the magistrate's observation that dismissed the no confidence petition.

"We will analyses the court observation and then move to the High Court for justice," Masud said.

Mosarat's sister Nusrat Jahan on Tuesday filed a no confidence petition before the Dhaka court against the police report that dropped the name of lone accused Sayem in the case.

Gulshan police Station Officer-in-Charge Abul Hasan, also the investigating officer of the case, filed the final report in the case on 19 July, claiming that the police investigation found no link of Sayem with the abetment of the suicide of Mosarat.

The police recovered Mosarat's dead body hanging from a ceiling fan in a flat in the capital's Gulshan area on 26 April.

On 27 April, Mosarat's sister Nusrat filed the abetment to suicide case against Sayem and consequently, the court slapped a ban on his foreign travel.

In three months of investigation, the police, however, did not detain or interrogate Sayem in the case.

Nusrat expressed her frustration with the latest development of the case and said that they would move with the case to the High Court.
